Below you’ll find our best Christmas activities in Liverpool, running throughout all of December – perfect if you’re a last minute kind of planner.
And if you’re looking for fun activities at any time of year, then a lot of these places are open all year round, so the list might come in handy for new years eve plans, or even boy-cotting the January blues.
LAST MINUTES CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES IN LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE:
JUNKYARD GOLF CLUB
First up is of course the best place for crazy golf in Liverpool – Junkyard Golf Club! We’ve got 3 crazy courses, student discounts and epic cocktails from just £6 all day Sunday – Thursday! Plus, while we encourage booking in advance, walk-ins are available, so if you’re being super last minute head down to the yard.
CHRISTMAS MARKETS AT ST. GEORGE’S HALL
The classic Christmas markets will be running until 24th December, so if the markets are your thing – great! And if they’re not, they’re still worth passing through while you’re on your way to somewhere else.
There’s performances on the weekend, karaoke ski bars, loads of food and of course all the craft gifts, decoration and jewellery you could ever need.
THE CLUB HOUSE LODGES
Think Santa’s grotto, without Santa – that’s what you’ll get at the private Club House Lodges. Book a lodge in the city centre and you’ll get 1hr and 45 minutes to eat, drink and be merry. Extra bonus – they have karaoke in the lodges too!

WATCH A FESTIVE MOVIE AT THE EVERYMAN CINEMA
If warm and cosy is your vibe, then live it up at The Everyman. With comfy seating, great food and Christmas classics like Elf and Love Actually to see, this is how you do a relaxed Christmas.
There’s also the Everyman & Playhouse you can visit – a theatre more than a cinema – where they have shows on throughout December and plenty of events, like Christmas quizzes!
EXPLORE THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
Grab yourself some mulled wine from one of the markets and set out on your own Christmas lights tour around Liverpool. They’ve gone extra hard this year, so explore the whole city centre and head down to Albert Docks to get the official lights trail map – you can even spot an illuminated submarine.
Just make sure you have comfy footwear!
CONCERT SQUARE
Concert Square is packed out at any time of year, so if you’re looking at letting your hair down, you need to head down over Christmas for the atmosphere alone.
You’ll find clubs transformed into electric wonderlands with runway dancers and performers, shots everywhere you look, shisha and generally just a crazy overall vibe!
ENCHANTED AT KNOWSLEY SAFARI PARK
Running until the end of December, Knowsley Safari Park has transformed into a magical, illuminated wonderland.
Visit the animal trail and forest lights, as well as their new attraction for 2022 – the winter village! You’ll find all the festive foods, including toasted marshmallows which you can take with you through their technicolour light tunnel.

ALBERT DOCKS
If you’re already planning on going on the light trails, then you’ll be heading down there anyway but Albert Docks is magical at any time of year, especially Christmas.
There’s live music on, plenty of bars and restaurants, as well as loads of independent retailers – perfect for last minute unique Christmas gifts!
